Cancellation and refunds

1. The 14-day withdrawal right does not apply here

For most things bought online you have 14 days to change your mind. Workshops are an exception. Under art. 16 lit. l) of OUG 34/2014, the right of withdrawal does not apply to services related to leisure activities where the contract provides for a specific date or period of performance — which is exactly what a dated workshop is.

That exception exists because a reserved place cannot usually be resold at short notice. In its place, we apply our own terms below, which are more generous than the law requires.

2. If you cancel

• More than 30 days before the workshop — full refund, less any bank or card processing fees that cannot be recovered.
• Between 30 and 14 days before — the full amount credited towards a later edition.
• Fewer than 14 days before, or non-attendance — no refund, because the place and materials have already been committed.

To cancel, write to andrea@andreavaradigoia.com from the email address used for the booking. The date we receive your message is the date used to work out which tier applies.

3. Transferring your place

You may transfer your place to another person at no cost up to 7 days before the workshop, provided we agree in writing and receive the new attendee's details. You may also move your place once to a later edition, subject to availability, if you ask more than 14 days in advance.

4. Couple's rate

The couple's rate covers two named attendees and is treated as a single booking. If one of the two cannot attend, the booking does not convert to a single place at the individual rate; the same cancellation tiers above apply to the booking as a whole. The unused place may be transferred to another person under section 3.

5. Reduced rates

The past-attendee rate requires prior attendance and a valid access code. If we find after payment that the conditions were not met, we will either ask you to pay the difference to the full rate or cancel the booking and refund it in full — your choice.

6. If we cancel or reschedule

If we cancel an edition, you receive a full refund. If we move it to another date and you cannot attend, you may choose a full refund or a place at a later edition. In either case our liability is limited to the amount you paid; we cannot reimburse travel or accommodation, so please book those flexibly.

7. How refunds are paid

Refunds are returned through NETOPIA Payments to the same card used for the original payment. We start the refund within 14 days of agreeing it. How quickly it appears on your statement is up to your bank, and is typically a few working days after that. We cannot refund to a different card or account.
